Creating My 2026 Vision Board for the Flower Farm
Every winter, when the fields are quiet and the flowers exist mostly in my imagination, I carve out time to dream up goals for the next year. Before the seed trays and spreadsheets — there’s the vision. This year, I sat down to create my 2026 vision board for the flower farm, and it felt especially meaningful.
A vision board isn’t just about pretty pictures. For me, it’s about alignment. It’s a way to step back from the daily to-do list and ask questions like: What kind of farm do I want this to be? How do I want it to feel—for me, for the flowers, and for the people who visit?
Starting With Reflection
Before I added anything to the board, I spent time reflecting on where we are now. What worked last season? What felt heavy? What brought the most joy?
Some answers were obvious—certain flower varieties thrived, others asked too much, the weather was a challenge. Some events filled my cup completely, while others stretched me thin. I realized that growth, for 2026, isn’t just about doing more. It’s about doing better.
The Heart of the Farm
At the center of my 2026 vision board is connection.
Connection to the land—healthier soil, more intentional growing practices, and rhythms that respect the seasons instead of fighting them.
Connection to the flowers—growing varieties I genuinely love, that excite me when I walk the rows, experimenting with new varieties that fit my vision.
And connection to people—customers, visitors, and community members who feel welcomed, inspired, and at ease the moment they step onto the farm.
Creativity and Beauty
Of course, creativity plays a huge role in the vision. The flower farm is where I get to blend agriculture with artistry, and I want 2026 to lean into that even more.
On the board are colors, textures, and floral designs that inspire me. Things that we have done before that I want to recreate, and new ideas that make me feel giddy!
When things get busy, this part of the board pulls me back to why I started growing flowers in the first place: the beauty, connection, and peace that they bring to me, and how I want to share that with other families.
Welcoming the Community
One of my favorite sections of the vision board focuses on people enjoying the farm—walking through the fields, attending workshops, picking flowers, or gathering around a dinner table amongst the flowers (GOALS!!!).
In 2026, I want the farm to feel even more open and inviting. A place where curiosity is encouraged and everyone feels like they belong, whether they’re seasoned gardeners or first-time visitors.
These images remind me that the farm doesn’t exist in isolation. It’s meant to be shared.
